Software Engineer (Australia)

SPATIALinfo Pty Limited is a long established software company with offices in the UK, Denver USA, and Melbourne. We are currently undergoing significant growth to meet the requirements of our customers in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We build software that models and manages physical and logical networks, and manipulates and stores network data.

Our software is built on industry-standard, best-of-breed platforms including AutoCAD and Oracle (full spatial-relational data model using Oracle spatial data types).

We are looking for developers / software engineers to join our growing research and development team in Melbourne.

The positions are permanent roles and you will be working with a friendly team on research and development tasks that are interesting, challenging, and highly rewarding.

These positions (based in Collingwood) are for sharp, flexible developers who can demonstrate successful experience developing complex software in a team situation.

We have positions available immediately in the following categories and will be interviewing

  • Senior programmers (more than 7 years experience)
  • Mid-level programmers (4-7 years experience)
  • Junior programmers (1-3 years experience)


Ideal candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an excellent work history, and work well in a team environment.

Some of the skill sets we use include:

  • Python
  • C/C++
  • Oracle/PL/SQL
  • .NET
  • Any Oracle DBA skills would be a bonus
  • Exposure to GIS and/or telecommunications would be a bonus
