Software Technical Support (Australia)

SPATIALinfo Pty Limited is a long established software company with offices in the UK, Denver USA, and Melbourne. We are currently undergoing significant growth to meet the requirements of our customers in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We build software that models and manages physical and logical networks, and manipulates and stores network data.
Our software is built on industry-standard, best-of-breed platforms including AutoCAD and Oracle (full spatial-relational data model using Oracle spatial data types).
We are looking for bright technical support staff to join our specialised research and development team in Collingwood on the outskirts of the Melb CBD. You will be working on software applications which manage physical and logical networks for telecommunications companies. Our growth is rapid and our future very bright.

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven experience providing technical advice and support
- Experience in installing client/server applications
- Experience supporting a GIS system would be highly regarded
- Experience in the telecommunications industry (fiber/copper networks) highly regarded
- Experience in Oracle, AutoCAD, IIS and sql scripting a bonus
- Experience in demonstrating software for pre-sales, dealing with prospective customers, and supporting sales
- Experience in software training
- Able to deliver a high level of customer service
- Provide support and or escalate tickets appropriately
- Able to interact with all staff at all levels
- Ability to resolve technical problems quickly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
